There is something magical that happens when the leaves start to change and a hint of Fall begins to nip through the air. It honestly makes my heart flutter a little bit. I absolutely LOVE the Fall season! It must not be just me either; this is also the beginning of what us photographers call “busy season.” This is the prime time of year when families want to update their family pictures... Some are in family mode with the anticipation of gatherings for holidays. Others just want new family pictures for sending out Christmas cards. Then, there are the ones that are just excited that the weather is FINALLY cooling down, where we can actually be outside again without sweating our faces off. (Me! I'm that one! Ha!) Whatever your reason, now is a great time!

Autumn Carrier reached out to me, because she wanted to update her family portraits as it had been several years and her children had grown. We strategically set up a session for this past Saturday with football games in mind. In the South, Fall and football go hand-in-hand, and as a photographer you HAVE to keep that in mind for your clients. (Roll Tide!) Luckily the game schedule this past Saturday gave us a perfect window of time to get a great "golden hour" session in, and as promised I got us all wrapped up in plenty of time for them to make it home for the next game!

I was so excited to meet Autumn at our pre-discussed location at Lakeside Park in Pell City, Alabama. Lakeside Park has tons of great spots! If you hit it at the right time, you can get a gorgeous glowing glitter that comes through the trees along with a glassy reflection off the water. Autumn not only had her immediate family there, but also included her father, Pawpaw. One of her girls also had a friend tag along for the afternoon, so of course we snagged some pics for them too! Their youngest liked giving peace signs, so we made sure to have some fun and get a fun family pic of peace signs just for her! :-)

It was my absolute privilege to be able to capture these images for the Carrier family! I hope they cherish these memories for years to come, and smile every time they look at their images of their family together.
